Robin Adolf Salzberg
Robin grew up surrounded by beautiful jewelry. As the daughter of one of Richmond’s most celebrated jewelers, you’d think her earliest memories would be of stunning necklaces, rings, and diamonds. But it’s not. Instead, Robin remembers her father’s steadfast dedication to their family business, Adolf Jewelers, and the appreciation he had for every customer that walked through the door. Though she couldn’t quite reach the shiny display cases at the time, Robin instinctively knew that what was inside was something significant, something that people celebrated. And she watched closely as her father immediately put each customer at ease as they considered their special purchase.
After graduating from East Carolina University with a business management degree concentrating in small business entrepreneurship, Robin worked for Estée Lauder prior to taking on leadership roles at Saxon Shoes, one of the largest independent shoe stores in America that was created by her mother’s family. It’s safe to say that Robin has retail in her blood. Today, Robin carries on her family’s longstanding tradition of offering something much more than fine jewelry and quality products. She offers trust, sincerity, and friendly guidance. She offers a type of customer experience that is hard to find these days, one that continues to attract her father’s customers all these years later and at the same time a new generation of loyal Richmonders.
When Robin is not cultivating relationships at Lustre, she saves time for volunteering in the Richmond community. Robin greatest joy, however, is spending time with her husband and her children, Ava and Julia, who happened to serve as the ribbon cutters for Lustre by Adolf. Perhaps they’re watching, just as Robin did years ago, and will one day realize their own dream built on strong relationships and an appreciation for the Richmond community.
